Job Overview:
The position involves providing technical support and business articulation consultancy services, specifically focusing on value chains. The consultant will be expected to engage with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance their operational efficiency and business management practices. This role requires a deep understanding of economic, administrative, or social sciences, as well as engineering principles, to effectively guide businesses in improving their processes. The consultant will work for a period of 100 days, contributing to the implementation of strategies that foster business growth and sustainability. The expectation is to leverage previous experience in business management, human resources, sales, finance, or marketing to support the development of these enterprises.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Conducting assessments of current business practices within MSMEs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Developing tailored strategies and action plans to enhance business operations and management.
  • Providing ongoing technical support and guidance to businesses during the implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate training and capacity-building workshops for business owners and employees.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of implemented strategies on business performance.
  • Preparing detailed reports on findings, recommendations, and progress made during the consultancy period.
  • Engaging with local communities and networks to promote business development and sustainability.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a professional degree in economic, administrative, social sciences, or engineering fields. Additionally, they should have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in supporting the implementation of improvement processes in business management, human resources, sales, finance, or marketing for micro, small, or medium enterprises. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a professional degree in one of the following fields: economics, administration, social sciences, or engineering. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of business operations and for providing effective consultancy services to enterprises.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of relevant professional experience. This experience should include direct involvement in business management, improvement processes, or consultancy roles that support MSMEs. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of successfully implementing strategies that enhance business performance and operational efficiency.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory for this position, as all communication and documentation will be conducted in this language. Proficiency in English or other languages may be considered an asset, but Spanish is essential for effective engagement with local businesses and stakeholders.

The consultancy is structured as an individual contractor position, with a contract duration of 100 days.
