The AI hub operates within four key action areas, which include creating and sharing knowledge products through a global expert network, advising social protection institutions on responsible AI system design and governance, developing AI Digital Public Goods (DPGs) and guidelines, and conducting capacity building around AI and data literacy tailored for social protection practitioners. Interns will play a crucial role in supporting these initiatives and contributing to the overall mission of the AI hub.
Duties and Responsibilities: As an intern, you will be involved in various tasks that are essential for the establishment and functioning of the AI Hub for Social Protection. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Project Management Team (PMO) in shaping the service portfolio and setting up processes. You will facilitate communication with implementing partners and assist in communication activities. Additionally, you will help establish communication platforms and tools for the AI hub, such as the website, social media channels, and newsletters. You will also be responsible for developing communication products, including impact stories, videos, flyers, and presentations. Supporting the development of the AI Hub's communications strategy and creating knowledge products related to AI in social protection will also be part of your role. Furthermore, you will assist in partner cooperation and communication, facilitating virtual meetings and workshops, and providing general administrative and organizational support as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for this internship should be current students in fields such as data science, digital technology/management, digital media/communications, international development, social sciences, or related disciplines. Familiarity with the digital transformation of social protection systems, particularly with a focus on AI and data-driven technologies, is considered an advantage. A strong interest in responsibly harnessing AI to enhance welfare services is essential. Additionally, candidates should possess strong organizational skills, high-quality written and verbal communication skills, and excellent proficiency in MS Office applications. Excellent English language skills are mandatory, while proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is advantageous.
Educational Background: The position requires candidates to be currently enrolled as students or to have graduated no longer than six months prior to the start of the internship.
