Job Overview: The position of Consultant for Curriculum Analysis and Educational Guidance involves supporting the Latin American Laboratory for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education (LLECE) in the development and dissemination of reports related to the curriculum analysis for the ERCE 2025 project. The consultant will work on both disciplinary areas and transformative education aspects, ensuring that the reports are methodologically sound and visually consistent across the participating countries. The consultant will also be responsible for reviewing and providing feedback on communication products related to the evaluation results, ensuring that they are tailored to various audiences, including policymakers and educators. This role requires a strong background in educational evaluation and the ability to produce high-quality reports and communication materials.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Collaborating with the LLECE team to review and improve regional and national reports on curriculum analysis.
Coordinating the design, layout, and editing of reports, ensuring consistency in methodology and content across different countries.
Providing technical support for the review and feedback process of the evaluation results communication products.
Developing and coordinating the production of communication materials that accompany the curriculum analysis reports.
Conducting monthly reporting on activities and progress related to the consultancy.
Participating in coordination meetings with the LLECE team and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the consultancy objectives.
Adapting communication strategies based on the specific needs of different audiences, including educational stakeholders and decision-makers.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong educational background, including a bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field, along with extensive experience in educational evaluation. A master's degree in a relevant area is also required. Additionally, candidates should have at least 8 years of professional experience in quality education evaluation, including experience in report writing and project management at both national and international levels. Familiarity with international educational evaluation frameworks and comparative studies is highly desirable.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field, complemented by a master's degree (equivalent to a Magister) in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, educational policy, or a related area. This combination of education ensures that the consultant has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively contribute to the consultancy's objectives.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 8 years of demonstrated professional experience in the field of educational evaluation. Candidates should have a proven track record in the development and publication of educational reports, as well as experience in coordinating and managing educational projects at both national and international levels. Previous work with international organizations in the area of learning evaluation is also advantageous.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, given the regional focus of the consultancy. Proficiency in English is also desirable, as it may be necessary for communication with international stakeholders and for accessing relevant literature and resources. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the countries involved in the ERCE 2025 project.
Additional Notes: The consultancy is expected to last between 7 to 11 months and can be conducted remotely, allowing for flexibility in the consultant's location. The consultant will be required to submit monthly reports detailing the activities undertaken and the progress made on the deliverables.
