Job Overview:
The Communications Consultant on Content Creation, Digital Engagement, and Social Media Strategy will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that enhance UNDP's visibility and engagement with stakeholders. This role involves creating compelling content for various digital platforms, managing social media channels, and ensuring that communication efforts align with UNDP's mission and objectives. The consultant will work closely with the UNDP team to identify key messages, target audiences, and appropriate communication channels. The position is home-based, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements, and is expected to run from July 2025 to February 202

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content creation strategy that aligns with UNDP's goals and objectives.
  • Create engaging and informative content for various digital platforms, including websites, blogs, and social media.
  • Manage and monitor UNDP's social media channels, ensuring timely and relevant posts that engage the audience.
  • Collaborate with UNDP staff to gather information and insights for content development.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust approaches based on feedback and metrics.
  • Provide recommendations for improving digital engagement and outreach efforts.
  • Stay updated on trends in digital communication and social media to enhance UNDP's online presence.
  • Prepare reports on communication activities and their impact on stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in content creation, digital engagement, and social media strategy.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of UNDP's mission and development goals is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an advantage.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in communications, content creation, and digital engagement is required. Experience working with international organizations or in a development context is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is considered an asset and may enhance communication effectiveness with local stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered as an individual contractor role, and the contract will be established in UAH (Ukrainian Hryvnia). The consultant will work remotely, allowing for flexibility in their schedule. The assignment is expected to last from July 2025 to February 2026, and proposals must be submitted through the UNDP supplier portal by the specified deadline. The consultant will be expected to adhere to UNDP's procurement guidelines and communication protocols.
