Job Overview: The Recruitment Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the recruitment process within the organization. Reporting to the Head of Recruitment Unit and the National Human Resource Officer, the successful candidate will be involved in various activities related to sourcing, attraction, and recruitment marketing. This includes posting job vacancies, assisting in recruitment marketing through various channels, and ensuring a balanced and diverse panel composition for selection processes. The role requires active engagement in candidate sourcing and attraction activities, as well as providing administrative support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. The Recruitment Assistant will also be responsible for screening applications, responding to queries, and maintaining talent pipelines, all while ensuring compliance with IOM's values and competencies.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Recruitment Assistant include: posting job vacancies and assisting in recruitment marketing; creating and updating posts for search engine optimization; reviewing panel compositions for diversity; providing guidance to hiring managers; assigning access for panel members to applications; engaging in candidate sourcing and attraction activities; screening applications based on pre-defined criteria; preparing and sending closing notices to hiring managers; analyzing and responding to queries from stakeholders; conducting initial reviews of selection documents; tagging candidates in the e-recruitment system; closing requisitions and notifying candidates of selection results; maintaining tracking lists; preparing statistical reports; providing administrative support for written tests and interviews; initiating background checks; and serving as a backup for the Recruiting Specialist.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with three years of relevant experience. Alternatively, candidates with completed high school education and five years of relevant experience will also be considered. Experience in a multi-cultural setting is advantageous, as is familiarity with HR IT systems and applications, particularly Oracle Recruiting. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited academic institution. Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. Candidates with a completed high school education and significant relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have experience working in a multi-cultural environment, which is considered an advantage. Additionally, a high level of computer literacy and experience with HR IT systems and applications are beneficial.
