This role requires a strong understanding of web development technologies, user experience design, and content management systems. The contractor will work closely with the Médiature team to gather requirements, create a project plan, and deliver a functional and user-friendly website. The expectation is that the website will serve as a platform for information dissemination, engagement with the public, and support for the Médiature's mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with the Médiature team and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and website analytics tools is a plus.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in web development, computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in web development or design may also be considered an asset.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in web development or a related field is required. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in a development context is an advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as the job description is in French and the Médiature likely operates in a French-speaking context. Proficiency in English is a plus, as it may facilitate communication with international stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is for an individual contractor and may be part-time or full-time depending on the project requirements. The contract duration will be specified in the project plan.
