Job Overview: The Senior Investment Officer or Investment Officer position is integral to the Manufacturing, Agribusiness & Services (MAS) Industry Group within IFC. This role is focused on supporting the organization's strategic priorities by managing investments in the manufacturing and agribusiness sectors across East Asia and the Pacific. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, executing transactions, and managing portfolio investments. This position requires a deep understanding of the investment landscape, particularly in emerging markets, and the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively. The role encompasses the full life cycle of projects, from business development to exit, ensuring that IFC's investments align with its mission of fostering sustainable economic growth.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Investment Officer/Investment Officer include developing long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders, collaborating with clients to enhance the value of IFC's investments, and engaging in discussions to gather insights for improving business development and transaction structuring. The officer will supervise the collection of lessons learned across the portfolio, analyze market trends, and lead assessments of portfolio ratings and valuations. Responsibilities also include negotiating waivers and amendments, conducting credit risk assessments, and overseeing the portfolio management work of junior staff. The officer will play a leadership role in discussing portfolio trends and their implications, ensuring that the overall development impact objectives are met.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field such as business, finance, or economics, along with significant experience in investment or business consulting. For the Senior Investment Officer role, a minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience is required, while the Investment Officer role requires 10-12 years.
