This position is unpaid, and interns are expected to manage their own travel, visa, accommodation, and living expenses.
Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks that may include:
Providing support to ongoing projects related to sustainable agricultural mechanization.
Assisting in social media outreach to promote the initiatives and activities of the CSAM.
Offering administrative support to the team, which may involve organizing documents, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records.
Working on presentations that communicate project findings and updates to stakeholders.
Consolidating and sorting data to assist in research and analysis efforts. The specific duties will depend on the intern's background and the needs of the division or office they are assigned to.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). This ensures that candidates possess the necessary academic foundation to contribute effectively to the work of the organization.
Educational Background: Candidates should have a strong academic background, ideally in fields related to agricultural science, environmental studies, international development, or a related discipline. A graduate degree or a final year of undergraduate study is preferred, as this will provide the necessary knowledge and skills to engage with the projects at CSAM.
Experience: While prior work experience is not mandatory, any relevant experience in research, project management, or administrative roles will be considered an asset. Interns should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic environment of the United Nations.
Languages: Fluency in English is required for the internship programme, as it is one of the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
