Job Overview: The GET.transform project is a technical assistance program aimed at supporting public sector partners in their energy sector transformations. It serves as an internationally recognized hub of expertise, focusing on critical areas of the energy transition, including energy planning, regulation, and renewable energy integration. The intern will be based in Bonn and will work closely with the team leader and communications manager, as well as a dynamic team spread across various countries including Belgium, Chile, Central America, Germany, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Peru, and Uganda. The intern's role will involve supporting digital infrastructure and project management activities, contributing to the advancement of a state-of-the-art digital project management system, and engaging in research and analysis within specific focus areas.
Duties and Responsibilities: During the internship, the intern will be responsible for facilitating the advancement of a digital project management system for GET.transform by implementing optimized process flows. They will assist in gathering software requirements and designing databases, contribute to setting up project management software environments like MS Planner, engage in research and analysis, foster communication and collaboration with service providers, support knowledge management through internal meetings and project status updates, and maintain and enhance work systems including SharePoint pages and Power BI tools. The intern will also be encouraged to unleash their creativity in identifying efficiency measures and presenting key data.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in math, IT, or MINT subjects, or a related field. They should possess experience with Low Code IT platforms and familiarity with REST APIs. Excellent communication skills, particularly in writing, are essential. The ideal candidate should embrace independent work, creativity, and a proactive attitude, while also appreciating the importance of processes and demonstrating strong communication skills for effective collaboration. A deep understanding of the role of energy in sustainable development and climate change mitigation is also required.
Educational Background: The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in math, IT, or MINT subjects, or a related field. This educational background is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of the role and for contributing effectively to the project management and digital infrastructure tasks.
Experience: The intern should have some experience with Low Code IT platforms and familiarity with REST APIs.
