Job Overview:
The mission of the Finance Department is to contribute to the effective management of the association by ensuring the quality and reliability of financial information, the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security of flows, and the efficiency of financial processes. The Financial Coordinator will manage a portfolio of funding for several programs, with varying levels of involvement depending on the autonomy of the programs (implementation, support, or sampling control). The main objectives of this position are divided into three areas: 1) Management of funding and partners, which includes financial management of funding contracts, financial monitoring, and reporting; 2) Closure and account closing, which involves producing summary statements for accounting closures; and 3) Support and assistance to field finance teams, which includes training, technical support, and capacity building.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties: 1) Financial management of funding contracts, including contributing to budgets, managing administrative requests, negotiating and validating funding contracts, monitoring expenses, making adjustments, controlling consumption rates, and managing budget allocations. This also includes planning, drafting, and archiving financial reports in compliance with contractual requirements, supporting the production of financial statements for audits, responding to auditors, and following up on field audits. The coordinator will also update contracts and verify the consistency between internal data and financial reports. 2) Financial monitoring of partners, which involves analyzing the financial capacities of partners and controlling their expenses and accounting compliance. 3) Producing summary statements for accounting closures, including allocation calculations, risk control, and account monitoring (cut-off and necessary adjustments). 4) Providing training, technical support, and capacity building for field finance teams, conducting control and support missions in the field, participating in briefings, debriefings, and evaluations related to financial aspects.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in finance, management control, or a financial coordination role in an NGO. Knowledge of donor rules (ECHO, EU, OFDA, UNICEF, etc.) is essential. The candidate must demonstrate strong writing and communication skills in both French and English, as well as the ability to work in an intercultural environment. Flexibility, responsiveness, proactivity, and the ability to work under pressure are also required. Experience in emergency contexts is a plus.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background in finance, accounting, or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should possess a degree or equivalent qualification that demonstrates their understanding of financial management principles and practices.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance or financial coordination, preferably within the NGO sector. Experience in managing financial contracts and working with international donors is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, and proficiency in English is also required. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.
