Job Overview:
The position of Online Volunteer for the Maza platform involves reviewing the current version of the platform to enhance its functionality and user experience. The Maza platform is designed to support adolescents and young people in Mozambique, particularly those who may lack foundational digital skills. The volunteer will engage in a comprehensive system audit and analysis, focusing on performance metrics, user engagement, and feature utilization. The role also includes enhancing the user experience and interface, conducting usability tests, and ensuring accessibility standards are met. Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, experience in UX/UI design, and familiarity with web development technologies. Knowledge of accessibility standards and data protection regulations is essential. Volunteers should have a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the UNICEF team.
Educational Background:
A background in computer science, information technology, web development, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have relevant certifications or coursework in UX/UI design, software development, or data security.
Experience:
The position requires prior experience in system auditing, user experience design, and technical improvements for web platforms. Familiarity with performance metrics analysis and usability testing is highly desirable. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in educational technology is a plus.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of Portuguese is advantageous due to the location and target audience of the Maza platform. Additional languages spoken in Mozambique may also be beneficial.

- Security and Compliance: Perform a security audit to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
