The Senior Policy Expert on Water Resources will play a crucial role in the National Governance Program, focusing on the management and sustainable use of water resources in Pakistan. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of current water governance frameworks and policies in Pakistan.
• Develop strategic recommendations for improving water resource management practices at the national and provincial levels.
• Facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogues and workshops to gather input and build consensus on water governance issues.
• Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations to promote integrated water resource management.
• Prepare detailed reports and policy briefs outlining findings and recommendations for policymakers.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of water governance initiatives and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Engage with international partners and organizations to share best practices and lessons learned in water governance.
• Support capacity-building efforts for government officials and stakeholders involved in water resource management.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Policy Expert position should possess a strong background in water resource management, environmental policy, or a related field. Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Urdu or other local languages is considered an asset and will enhance communication with local stakeholders.

This position is offered as an individual contractor role, with a contract duration of 20 working days spread over a period of 4 months. The position is based in Islamabad, Pakistan, and may require travel within the country for stakeholder consultations and workshops.
