Job Overview: The Global Recruitment Consultant position is a 6-month engagement within the Talent Acquisition (TA) Team at CHAI. The consultant will play a crucial role in driving high-quality hiring by managing full-cycle recruitment processes and supporting the team in building and managing diverse talent pipelines for recurring and strategic roles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in recruiting, candidate sourcing, and screening, along with excellent relationship management skills. This role requires proficiency in managing administrative processes and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced virtual environment. The consultant will work closely with the Associate Director of Global Talent Acquisition to assess staffing needs and manage talent pipelines, contributing to the overall efficiency of the recruitment process.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for leading end-to-end recruitment for assigned roles, which includes conducting intake calls, posting job openings, sourcing candidates, screening applicants, managing candidate relationships, providing offer support, and ensuring hiring closure. They will establish and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers and other internal HR departments, acting as an advisor to determine staffing needs and profiles for open positions. The consultant will identify the best sourcing strategies for each role, build and maintain talent pools for recurring and strategic positions, and assist the Talent Acquisition Team with candidate sourcing and initial screening. Additionally, they will manage applicant information in the tracking database, ensuring data integrity, and provide timely communication to hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process. The consultant will also screen potential candidates, communicate salary guidance, extend job offers, and promote inclusive recruitment practices.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 6 years of proven recruiting experience, preferably for technical roles and specialized skills. A strong preference is given to those with backgrounds in executive search or agency recruitment firms. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a fast-paced environment with limited structure, creative sourcing skills, and strong interpersonal abilities to develop and maintain client-management relationships, particularly in a virtual setting. They should be capable of building trusted advisory relationships with senior stakeholders and have experience screening for and identifying highly qualified talent through resumes and interviews. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, along with strong written and oral communication skills in English, are required.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position, which serves as the foundational educational qualification necessary for the role of Global Recruitment Consultant.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of proven recruiting experience, ideally in technical roles and specialized skills. Experience in executive search or agency recruitment firms is highly preferred. The consultant should also have experience working in fast-paced environments and be adept at creative sourcing and applicant development.
Languages: Strong written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory for this position. Fluency in French is considered an advantage, especially for candidates who have experience recruiting internationally.
Additional Notes: This position is a 6-month engagement and is flexible in terms of location, with a strong preference for candidates based in one of CHAI's program countries in Africa.
