Job Overview: The E T Consultant position is situated within the Corporate Portfolio Management (CPM) Department of IFC, which is responsible for providing corporate and strategic level reports and reviews of IFC’s investment pipeline, program, and portfolio. This role is crucial for ensuring that IFC Operations possess the necessary tools, processes, and systems to deliver high-quality services to clients while maximizing internal efficiencies. The consultant will play a key role in the Phoenix transformation program, which aims to replace legacy operations systems and integrate various client management and project processing tools into a cohesive system. The consultant will be expected to advise on the alignment of the program with IFC's 2030 strategy, conduct business process analysis, and contribute to the development of detailed project plans. Strong analytical skills and experience in business transformation within financial institutions are essential for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities: The E T Consultant will have a variety of responsibilities, including: understanding the IFC 2030 vision and how the Phoenix program can support its implementation; conducting business process analysis meetings with operations staff; providing inputs to the Project Management Office (PMO) to develop and iteratively update project plans; identifying key milestones and raising critical issues; developing and presenting reports on project status to leadership; reviewing business process models, user journeys, and user stories to ensure they meet business needs; assessing dependencies, potential issues, and risks; and participating in testing the functionality of developed systems to ensure requirements are met. The consultant will also need to engage with various stakeholders to design complex systems and business solutions, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience and knowledge of IFC’s processes and systems are desirable. In-depth experience in corporate transformation initiatives is required, along with strong communication skills, both spoken and written. The ability to engage various stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts is essential. Organizational skills are necessary to manage the vast array of information gathered during analysis, and interpersonal skills are important for collaboration across organizational boundaries. Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and Agile Methodology is also required, along with excellent teamwork skills.

Additional Notes: The position is a one-year appointment, renewable at the discretion of the World Bank Group, with a lifetime maximum ET appointment of three years. If an ET appointment ends before a full year, it is considered as a full year toward the lifetime maximum.
