Job Overview: The Project ManagementAnalyst position is crucial for the successful implementation of the second phase of the KOICA funded project aimed at preventing violence against women and girls in Vietnam. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including government officials, civil society, and the UNFPA Country Office team. The analyst will lead the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the project, ensuring that all activities align with the established work plan and adhere to the regulations of both the government and UNFPA. The position requires a proactive approach to managing project activities, engaging with communities to transform social and gender norms, and promoting positive masculinity to prevent violence against women. The analyst will also be responsible for documenting best practices and lessons learned throughout the project, contributing to the overall success of the initiative.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Management Analyst will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: managing the day-to-day operations of the KOICA funded project, ensuring timely coordination and management of project activities, providing technical support for quality output delivery, preparing and submitting quarterly and annual progress reports, facilitating communication and logistical support for project activities, collaborating with partners and stakeholders, and promoting gender-sensitive practices within the organization. The analyst will also document good practices and success stories, work closely with a Project Associate, and contribute to the broader goals of the UNFPA Country Office.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced degree in public management, gender studies, health, population, demography, or related social sciences. They should have at least two years of professional experience in gender and gender-based violence, with a strong background in project design, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Knowledge of gender issues, particularly in GBV prevention, and experience working with government offices, NGOs, and international organizations is essential. Familiarity with Vietnamese gender-related policies and the One UN context is highly desirable.
Educational Background: An advanced degree in relevant fields such as public management, gender, health, population, demography, or other related social science disciplines is required for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of gender issues and the implementation of effective programs.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in the field of gender and gender-based violence. Candidates should have practical experience in the design, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of development projects, particularly those focused on gender issues and GBV prevention. Experience working with government entities, NGOs, and international development organizations is highly valued.
Languages: Fluency in both English and Vietnamese is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication with stakeholders and for the successful implementation of project activities.
