Job Overview: The Project ManagementAnalyst position is crucial for the effective implementation of the second phase of the KOICA funded Project - Response Component, which aims to establish and operate One-Stop Service Centers (OSSCs) for survivors of Gender-based Violence (GBV) in Vietnam. The analyst will work closely with the gender team, program staff, and the operation team of the UNFPA Country Office, as well as with government officials, experts, and civil society organizations. The role involves leading the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities, ensuring that essential services are provided to GBV survivors in a coordinated manner that meets international standards. The analyst will also be responsible for preparing and submitting progress reports, providing technical support, and facilitating collaboration with partners and stakeholders to ensure the project's success.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Management Analyst will manage the day-to-day operations of the KOICA funded project, focusing on the establishment and operation of OSSCs in Ha Tinh and Khanh Hoa provinces. Key responsibilities include coordinating project activities according to the Work Plan, providing technical support for quality output delivery, monitoring and evaluating project progress, and preparing quarterly and annual reports. The analyst will also support communication efforts related to the project, facilitate decision-making processes, document best practices and lessons learned, and collaborate with other program staff to promote coherence and linkages within the UNFPA Country Office. Additionally, the analyst will champion gender-sensitive behavior and work with marginalized and vulnerable populations, contributing to the broader UNFPA agenda.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced degree in public management, gender, health, population, demography, or related social science disciplines. They should have at least two years of professional experience in gender and gender-based violence, with practical experience in project design, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Knowledge of gender issues, particularly in GBV response, and experience working with government offices, NGOs, and international development organizations is desirable. Familiarity with Vietnamese government gender-related policies and the One UN context is an advantage. Proficiency in office software and web-based management systems is also required.
Educational Background: An advanced degree in relevant fields such as public management, gender studies, health, population, demography, or other related social sciences is required for this position. This educational background is essential to understand the complexities of gender issues and the implementation of development projects effectively.
Experience: The position requires at least two years of professional experience in the field of gender and gender-based violence.
