Job Overview: As a Pension Specialist at EUROCONTROL, you will be responsible for coordinating the pensions and departure planning process for staff members. This role requires a strong focus on quality and efficiency while ensuring compliance with the agency's rules, policies, and standards. You will perform pensions and tax calculations, conduct data checks, and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will act as a pension focal point for specific countries, providing guidance and support to former staff members regarding the agency's pension tax compensation scheme. Your work will involve monitoring upcoming departures, producing reports, and contributing to audits and projects, all while working under the supervision of the Pension Team Leader.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your primary duties will include coordinating the pensions and departure planning process for EUROCONTROL staff, ensuring timely handling of pension files and requests. You will monitor and report on upcoming staff departures to aid in planning activities. Providing guidance on the pension tax compensation scheme will be a key responsibility, including calculating individual compensation amounts and verifying tax assessments. You will perform data checks on pension records to ensure accuracy and compliance, and coordinate the implementation of standards for file completeness and calculation methods. Liaising with internal stakeholders to streamline procedures and with external authorities to resolve issues will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will produce statistics, dashboards, and reports, and present findings to management. You may also be required to carry out other tasks aligned with the main purpose of the job.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree of at least 3 years and have a minimum of 1 year of professional experience, or a university degree of 4 years. A degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Business Administration, Administrative Law, Human Resources, Payroll Management, or Social Sciences is considered an asset. Furthermore, a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required, particularly in payroll management, compensation and benefits, or accounting. Familiarity with managing individual or private income, taxation, or personal financial matters within the EU is essential. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is required, and experience with PeopleSoft, SharePoint, SAP Business Objects, and Power BI is advantageous. Knowledge of tax and social security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security regulations, particularly for the Benelux region, Germany, or France, is also beneficial.

Additional Notes: The position is a full-time role with a contract duration of 5 years, which may be extended or converted into an undetermined contract.
