• Interns will work under the supervision of a staff member, contributing to various research projects and policy advocacy efforts related to sustainable transport. The role requires a commitment of five days a week, totaling 35 hours, and offers an opportunity to engage with pressing issues in transport and urban mobility, including climate change impacts and sustainable practices. Interns will be involved in research, data analysis, and the preparation of reports and presentations, providing a comprehensive learning experience in a UN setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will have a diverse set of responsibilities that may vary based on their background and the specific office they are assigned to. Key duties include conducting research on themes such as the environmental and social dimensions of transport, climate change impacts, and sustainable urban mobility. Interns will support the editorial process for the Transport and Communications Bulletin, assist in preparing case studies and background materials for meetings, and contribute to the development of policy briefs and technical reports. They will also undertake literature reviews, identify research gaps, analyze data, and prepare reports with findings and conclusions. Additionally, interns will create presentations and infographics to communicate their findings effectively. They may also assist with day-to-day operations within the division and support various projects and workshops as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should either be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program (second university degree or equivalent) or be in their final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level).
