Job Overview: The position of Consultant for Knowledge Management at UNESCO Bangkok involves supporting the knowledge management of various educational activities and platforms. The consultant will be responsible for conducting a mapping of the Education Section's knowledge management plans and needs for 2026, developing a comprehensive work plan, and managing content across different platforms. This role requires close collaboration with program specialists and the communication team to ensure effective dissemination of knowledge management products. The consultant will also be tasked with developing interactive infographics, reports, and other advocacy materials, as well as coordinating the LE2030+ monthly newsletter. The overarching goal is to enhance communication, advocacy, and knowledge sharing related to education in the Asia-Pacific region, thereby contributing to the implementation and monitoring of SDG4.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's duties and responsibilities include conducting a mapping of the Education Section's knowledge management needs, managing content for various platforms, developing knowledge management products, and disseminating these products through multiple channels. Specific tasks include coordinating with program specialists for content updates, monitoring web analytics, supporting the development of the LE2030+ Communications and Advocacy Strategy, and overseeing the management of Education Section publications. The consultant will also serve as a focal point for compiling and uploading regional knowledge resources, ensuring timely delivery of newsletters, and providing coordination support for communications and public engagement activities. Additionally, the consultant may be required to travel for project-related missions and is expected to integrate a gender perspective in all activities.
Required Qualifications: The position requires an advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Education, Information/Knowledge Management, Communication, Information Science, or a related discipline. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in communication, multimedia, digital content development, and managing online knowledge portals. Proficiency in IT skills, particularly in MS Office and Adobe software, is essential.
