Job Overview:
The Senior Driver position is based in the Togo Country Office and reports directly to the Togo Country Manager. The primary role of the Senior Driver is to provide essential administrative and logistical support to both Country and Global Practice teams. This includes offering driving services to management, operations, and administrative staff within the Country Office, as well as to consultants, experts, and staff on mission. Additionally, the Senior Driver is responsible for providing messengerial services within the office. The position requires a commitment to safety, professionalism, and adherence to local protocols while performing driving duties, ensuring that all transportation needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Driver is expected to perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to: transporting authorized personnel to and from airports, meetings, appointments, and other official duties, including business travel throughout Togo; operating the assigned office vehicle with a focus on safety for staff and other road users; delivering and collecting mail, documents, and other items as needed; meeting officials and mission staff at the airport while adhering to local protocols; conducting visual pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness; maintaining and upkeeping the office vehicle according to manufacturer guidelines; performing day-to-day maintenance checks on the vehicle; regularly updating the World Bank Senior security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Specialists and Administrative Officer on vehicle inspections and maintenance; ensuring the vehicle is clean and that all passengers are wearing safety belts; equipping the vehicle with a First Aid kit and being trained in first aid; logging official trips according to World Bank policies; ensuring all vehicle documentation is current; observing traffic laws and regulations; reviewing security information and environmental conditions for safe driving; maintaining confidentiality of discussions held by passengers; and reporting all road traffic incidents to the appropriate authorities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP), demonstrating capability in defensive driving. A high school diploma or equivalent certification is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience and a safe driving record. Basic skills in minor vehicle repairs and maintenance are essential. Candidates should have good English language skills and strong administrative abilities, including proficiency in using GPS/online maps and Microsoft Office for report maintenance and communication. A strong geographical knowledge of the region, including safe and alternative routes, is necessary, as well as a thorough understanding of driving rules and regulations. Candidates must maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate a high level of discretion, commitment, and reliability. The ability to work sensitively in a multicultural environment and build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels is crucial. Willingness to work outside regular hours may be required, and medical/health checks will apply.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Senior Driver position includes a high school diploma or an equivalent certification. This foundational education is essential for understanding the responsibilities associated with the role and for ensuring compliance with driving regulations and safety protocols.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, which should include a proven safe driving record. Languages:
