The mission of IOM is to promote humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all, providing services and advice to governments and migrants alike. Interns must be between the ages of 20 and 36 and have less than two years of relevant professional experience. The program aims to engage students and graduates who are either receiving a scholarship to undertake an internship in an international organization, for whom the internship is mandatory for completing their studies, or who are sponsored by governmental/non-governmental institutions or universities to work in specific areas related to both IOM and the sponsor. Interns will be supervised directly by the Head of Office and will support operational teams in Lome in implementing activities related to the assistance and reintegration of individuals into their local communities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for executing the following tasks and responsibilities: supporting the logistical organization of reintegration activities conducted by IOM or its partners, including assisting in the preparation of documents, welcoming beneficiaries, and setting up activity venues; assisting Field Staff in their missions in the field by participating in data collection, distribution of materials, or facilitating activities under the direct supervision of the team; contributing to the follow-up of beneficiaries by helping to update databases, making phone contacts, or writing visit reports; participating in awareness campaigns by supporting the preparation of communication materials and accompanying teams during community activities; performing simple administrative tasks such as data entry, document archiving, preparing correspondence, or managing supplies related to material assistance; assisting in the distribution of equipment as part of reintegration plans, ensuring proper record-keeping and coordination with beneficiaries; and executing any other tasks assigned by the supervisor related to reintegration activities and within the scope of their learning.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). A strong understanding of public administration and both state and non-state actors is essential. Exceptional writing and reporting skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, as part of a team, and under pressure. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree (minimum BAC+3) in political or social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law, or related fields from an accredited university is required.

Experience:
Candidates should have less than two years of relevant professional experience. This internship is particularly suitable for students or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in an international organization and the field of migration.

Languages:
Fluency in French (oral and written) is required. Proficiency in national languages such as Dendi is highly recommended.

Additional Notes:

The appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit to perform the duties of the position, verification of residency, visa, and permits issued by the relevant government, if applicable. Depending on their experience and workplace, interns receive a small monthly allowance to help cover their expenses. IOM provides coverage for interns against work-related accidents and occupational diseases under the compensation plan during their assignment. However, IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for non-work-related accidents and illnesses.
