Job Overview:
The Partnership Manager is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for mapping, developing, and strengthening relationships with sub-award partners. This position is supervised by the Grants & Partnership Coordinator and requires close coordination with the Country Office Program and Support Coordinators. The Partnership Manager acts as the main point of contact for all matters related to SI’s sub-award partnerships within the Syria Mission. The role is crucial in fostering strategic, programmatic, and operational collaboration with partners, ensuring that all partnerships align with SI’s standards, compliance requirements, and strategic objectives. The Partnership Manager will also lead the development and adaptation of the organization's Partnership Strategy and Strategic Implementation framework, ensuring effective coordination and mutual accountability across all partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Partnership Manager will undertake various responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Developing and adapting the Partnership Strategy and Strategic Implementation framework in alignment with SI's operational priorities.
  • Collaborating with relevant departments to establish a comprehensive framework for cooperative partnerships.
  • Conducting assessments and capacity building for partners.
  • Managing the contracting process with partners.
  • Monitoring partnership performance and ensuring compliance with SI standards.
  • Reporting on partnership activities and outcomes.
  • Capitalizing on lessons learned and communicating findings to stakeholders.
  • Evaluating partnership effectiveness and learning from experiences to improve future collaborations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field. Additionally, they should have 0-2 years of experience in a similar position, demonstrating a foundational understanding of partnership management and collaboration within humanitarian contexts. Technical skills in assessing and nurturing strategic partnerships, as well as facilitating coordination and communication, are essential. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in dynamic environments are also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any relevant field. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of partnership management and the humanitarian sector.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have between 0 to 2 years of experience in a similar role. This level of experience is deemed sufficient for the Partnership Manager to effectively engage with partners and manage relationships while still allowing for professional growth and development within the organization.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with international partners. Additionally, knowledge of Arabic is considered a strong asset, enhancing the ability to communicate effectively with local partners and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The position is a salaried role with compensation starting from EUR 2310 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. A monthly Per Diem of USD 750 is also provided. SI covers accommodation costs and travel expenses for expatriates. The organization implements a break system, allowing for time off every three months, along with additional rest days for each month worked. Expatriates benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses, including medical, dental, and repatriation costs. Living conditions are provided in a guest house, with access to internet and telephone services. However, candidates should be aware of the dynamic and volatile security context in certain parts of Syria, which necessitates adherence to safety protocols and movement restrictions.
