Job Overview:

This role is crucial for ensuring the financial balance of the mission and compliance with both Solidarités International procedures and local laws. The Finance Coordinator acts as the primary point of reference for financial matters and serves as a liaison between the mission and headquarters. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements. The Finance Coordinator will also be involved in socio-economic analysis, team management, and cash management, ensuring that the mission operates efficiently and effectively in a challenging environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Coordinator's duties include conducting socio-economic analyses to identify administrative partners and monitor exchange rates and prices. They will manage a team by defining personnel needs, recruiting team members, training and appraising the financial team, and leading team meetings. Financial management tasks involve defining expenditure cycles, consolidating and verifying monthly accounts, monitoring allocation boards, preparing financial programming, and linking budget use to activity progress. The coordinator will also oversee administrative management, including negotiating partnership contracts and managing legal risks. Cash management responsibilities include overseeing cash flows, ensuring bases receive supplies, and compiling cash flow forecasts. Regular financial reporting and maintaining compliance with national laws are also key responsibilities, along with representing SI in administrative meetings and maintaining relationships with national authorities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong technical skills in financial management, including budgeting, monitoring, and reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills are essential. The organization also offers a break system, allowing for time off every three months, along with an insurance package that covers healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations.
