Job Overview:
The position is primarily focused on enhancing higher education teaching capacities and promoting innovative pedagogical practices in the Latin American region. The incumbent will work closely with the Director of UNESCO IESALC to implement the strategic plan and coordinate various programs and partnerships. The role involves conducting research and development of innovative university pedagogies, capacity building in transformative teaching practices, and advocating for sustainable education. The incumbent will also engage in networking among higher education leaders to promote inclusive education and resource mobilization for long-term sustainability of educational initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will support the preparation of thematic and situational analyses, evaluating project implementation and identifying areas for improvement. Responsibilities include preparing reports and proposals for program developments, providing logistical and administrative support for projects and events, and conducting research to inform policy proposals. The role also involves managing knowledge systems, analyzing best practices, and contributing to public information activities. The incumbent will assist in identifying potential partnerships and fundraising opportunities, support monitoring and evaluation tasks, and maintain institutional memory through automated systems. Overall, the position requires a collaborative approach to enhance educational initiatives and strategies within UNESCO's broader goals.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Education, Social Sciences, Educational Technology, International Development, or a related field. A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in higher education, teacher training, or educational project management is required, with at least one year of experience at the international level. Demonstrable experience in organizing capacity-building programs and training sessions within the education sector is essential. Candidates should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and innovate in diverse educational environments.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Education, Social Sciences, Educational Technology, or International Development is required for this position. Experience:
