Job Overview:
The position of Asociado/a de Programas involves coordinating the peacebuilding component of the project 'Caminos hacia la Paz y la Prosperidad en Colombia.' This role is crucial in ensuring that the project's objectives are met through effective collaboration with various stakeholders, including local communities and governmental entities. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of peacebuilding activities, ensuring that they align with the overall goals of the project. This includes working closely with community leaders to develop their capacities in conflict resolution and social protection, thereby empowering them to act as change agents within their communities. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying challenges and opportunities within the project framework, as well as maintaining open lines of communication with all partners involved. The Asociado/a de Programas will also play a key role in monitoring and evaluating the project's impact, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into future initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Asociado/a de Programas include: coordinating the peacebuilding component of the project, ensuring its integration with other project components; liaising with local and national entities for the preparation and implementation of peacebuilding activities; supervising the efficient and transparent use of resources allocated to the peacebuilding component; promoting community participation and capacity strengthening; ensuring the achievement of project goals, indicators, and deliverables while identifying risks and proposing timely adjustments; coordinating diagnostic processes and information gathering to understand social contexts and conflicts; co-creating educational materials and methodologies for peacebuilding training; training and supporting instructors and facilitators in the use of these materials; maintaining effective communication with Rotary and other team members; reporting progress and challenges to the Project Manager; supporting the preparation of project reports and documentation; and ensuring the organization and accessibility of project records.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a university degree in Political Science, Social Sciences, Administration, International Relations, or related fields being desirable. A postgraduate degree in relevant areas such as Conflict Resolution or International Relations is also preferred. Additionally, candidates should possess a minimum of six years of professional experience in the design, coordination, or implementation of social projects, particularly with public institutions, international agencies, or NGOs. Proven experience in peacebuilding initiatives in Colombia, including conflict sensitivity and gender approaches, is essential. Experience in project management, including planning, monitoring, and budget tracking, is also required, along with a background in community work with vulnerable populations.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completed secondary education cycle, with a preference for candidates holding a university degree in relevant fields such as Political Science, Social Sciences, or International Relations. A postgraduate degree in related areas is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of six years of professional experience in social project design, coordination, or implementation, with at least four years specifically focused on peacebuilding initiatives in Colombia. Experience working with governmental entities and in community strengthening processes is highly valued, as is experience in project management and monitoring.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish (oral and written) is mandatory, along with an intermediate level of English (B1 or equivalent) sufficient for reading and understanding technical documents and engaging in work-related conversations.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and available funding. The position is classified under the SC6 remuneration category. The role requires availability for travel to project implementation municipalities, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in working conditions.
