Job Description
Job Posting Organization:
Computadores para Educar (CPE) is a non-profit organization established in the year 2000, following the guidelines set forth in the CONPES Document 3063 dated December 23, 1999, and in Decree 2324 dated November 9, 200
  • Its partners include the Fund for Information and Communication Technologies, the Unique Fund for Information and Communication Technologies, the Ministry of National Education, and the National Learning Service (SENA). The mission of Computadores para Educar is to promote educational innovation through the use of digital technologies, contributing to the well-being and sustainable development of society, promoting equitable access and the generation of knowledge. Its vision projects that by 2026, Colombia will consolidate as a leading country in education supported by digital technologies, ensuring that every student has access to world-class, relevant, and future-oriented training. These goals are developed within the framework of the National Development Plan and sectoral policies regarding Information and Communication Technologies and education, led by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies and the Ministry of National Education. To achieve its objectives, Computadores para Educar directs its management through four strategic lines: i) Access to digital technologies, ii) Pedagogical appropriation, iii) Environmental sustainability, and iv) Monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge management. Currently, Computadores para Educar is implementing a significant strategic shift in its approach, moving away from viewing the delivery of technology as an end in itself and focusing on a conception of technology as a means to mobilize learning. This change recognizes that technological devices alone do not guarantee improvements in educational quality or equitable access to knowledge. This new strategy will position teachers and students as protagonists of change, strengthening their capacities for a pedagogical, contextualized, and transformative use of digital tools. To support this transformation process, while also considering the importance of analyzing, systematizing, and evaluating the initiatives carried out, Computadores para Educar is creating and managing alliances with key actors such as the United Nations Development Programme and UNESCO.
