Job Overview:
The Medical Officer (MO) position at WJCF is a critical role within the Project iLIFT (integrated Lung Health Initiative For Tribals), aimed at addressing respiratory health issues in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh, India. The MO will be responsible for leading the operations team in Korba, ensuring the effective implementation of project strategies and objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of public health and experience in the development sector, as the MO will work closely with government health professionals and manage stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate qualities such as resourcefulness, responsibility, and a strong work ethic. The MO will report directly to the Project Manager based in Delhi and will play a key role in monitoring camp operations and facilitating project activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Medical Officer will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: leading the operations team in Korba to implement Project iLIFT; developing strong relationships with state and district officials for coordinated project activities; facilitating support for drugs, diagnostics, and manpower; assisting in the development and oversight of the project's implementation strategy; aligning project activities with the monitoring and evaluation framework; conducting training programs and workshops; representing WJCF at state and district levels; preparing detailed reports and participating in reviews; analyzing data captured in the Management Information System (MIS); facilitating the hiring of field staff; providing technical support to enhance project quality; advocating for project results with stakeholders; and coordinating with academic institutions for program monitoring.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be Registered Medical Practitioners with a valid registration from a State Medical Council after completing an undergraduate medical course at a recognized institution authorized by the Medical Council of India. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the public health sector is required, along with experience working with State Ministries and large donor-funded projects. Candidates should have a proven track record in managing and building capacity among project stakeholders, and proficiency in MS Office applications is essential. Experience with national TB or NCD programs is advantageous, and prior experience working in Chhattisgarh is preferred. Willingness to travel extensively for project purposes is also necessary.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to have completed an undergraduate medical course from a recognized institution, which qualifies them to be registered medical practitioners. This educational background is crucial for understanding the medical and public health landscape in which the project operates, particularly in relation to respiratory health and disease management.

Experience:
