Job Overview: The Analyst, EM&O2 position is designed for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual who possesses strong analytical skills and stakeholder management abilities. The role is based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and involves close collaboration with state and national program teams, particularly the Department of Health & Family Welfare (DoHFW) in Chhattisgarh. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and analytical support to the Essential Medicines and Oxygen (EM&O2) program, which aims to improve the management of hypoxemia and enhance the supply chain for essential medicines, including oxygen. The Analyst will be expected to develop and manage relationships with government officials, support program implementation initiatives, and contribute to the overall goals of reducing maternal and child mortality related to hypoxemia. This role requires a commitment to excellence, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: providing strategic and analytical support for the EM&O2 program; analyzing large datasets to generate insightful reports and dashboards; preparing high-quality reports, presentations, and briefs for stakeholders; collaborating with state and district officials to strengthen medical oxygen management; developing guiding documents for public health supply chains; integrating data sources to forecast demand for essential medicines; coordinating with cross-functional teams for seamless implementation; building strong relationships with key stakeholders; supporting program management and evaluation; and contributing to internal organizational initiatives as assigned by the reporting manager.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in management, economics, public health, engineering, computer science, statistics, operations research, or a related field. Additionally, at least three years of professional experience in a private or public sector setting or consulting is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to create persuasive presentations and reports. Fluency in Hindi and Punjabi is considered an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is essential, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to navigate complex processes, influence decision-making, and maintain high emotional intelligence in stressful situations.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant fields such as management, economics, public health, engineering, computer science, statistics, operations research, or similar disciplines. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of public health systems and the analytical skills needed for the role.
Experience: The position requires at least three years of professional experience in either a private or public sector setting, or in consulting. This experience should ideally include working with government stakeholders and familiarity with the Indian public health system or social impact sector, particularly in areas related to supply chain management. The candidate should have a proven track record of analytical work and stakeholder engagement.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as the role requires excellent communication skills for creating reports and presentations. Additionally, fluency in Hindi and Punjabi is considered advantageous, as it may facilitate better communication with local stakeholders and government officials.
