Job Overview:
The Project Management Analyst position is crucial for the effective coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the second phase of the KOICA funded Project - Prevention Component. This role is based in the UNFPA Country Office located in Hanoi, Vietnam, and reports directly to the Programme Specialist on Human Rights and Gender, who is also the Gender Team Leader. The Project Management Analyst will work closely with the gender team, program staff, and operational teams within the UNFPA Country Office, as well as with government officials, experts, and civil society organizations. The primary focus of this position is to manage the day-to-day operations of the KOICA funded project, which aims to transform social and gender norms, engage men and boys in promoting positive masculinity, and prevent violence against women. The analyst will ensure that all project activities are implemented in accordance with the established work plan and UNFPA regulations, providing technical support to guarantee the quality of project outputs. This role also involves monitoring and evaluating project progress, preparing reports for donors, and facilitating communication and collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the project's success.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Management Analyst will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties including: managing the day-to-day operations of the KOICA funded project - Prevention Component; ensuring timely coordination and management of project activities as outlined in the Work Plan; providing technical support to ensure quality outputs; preparing and submitting quarterly and annual progress reports, both narrative and financial; facilitating communication and logistical support for project activities; collaborating with partners and stakeholders to enhance decision-making processes; documenting good practices and lessons learned; working closely with a shared Project Associate to fulfill project requirements; promoting gender-sensitive behavior and equality within UNFPA and with partners; contributing to the One UN Initiative; and performing other tasks as required by the Country Office Management and the Gender Team.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree in public management, gender studies, health, population, demography, or other related social science disciplines. Additionally, at least two years of professional experience in the field of gender and gender-based violence is required, with practical experience in the design, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of development projects. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge and experience in gender issues, particularly in GBV prevention and behavior change communication. Experience working with government offices, NGOs, and international development organizations, especially in gender and GBV, is desirable. A good understanding of Vietnamese government gender-related policies and the ability to establish effective working relationships with relevant government partners is essential. Familiarity with the One UN context and experience in culturally sensitive programming will be advantageous.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced degree in relevant fields such as public management, gender studies, health, population, demography, or other related social science disciplines. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of gender issues and the implementation of effective programs aimed at preventing gender-based violence and promoting gender equality.

Experience:
The position requires at least two years of professional experience in the field of gender and gender-based violence. Candidates should have practical experience in the design, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of development projects. This experience should include demonstrated knowledge of gender issues, particularly in GBV prevention and behavior change communication, as well as familiarity with the workings of government offices, NGOs, and international development organizations.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Vietnamese is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication with stakeholders, preparation of reports, and collaboration with partners. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not explicitly required.
