Duties and Responsibilities:
The Country Director will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: developing and executing the country strategy, representing NRC in high-level meetings and forums, coordinating with various stakeholders, advocating for the rights and needs of displaced populations, mobilizing resources, ensuring that operational structures and systems are efficient, overseeing cost management and quality assurance, facilitating staff training and development, and ensuring the safety and security of all staff members. The role also requires the ability to navigate complex and volatile contexts, making strategic decisions that align with NRC's mission and values.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Country Director position must possess significant senior management experience, particularly in a humanitarian or recovery context. They should have a proven track record of developing and implementing effective strategies in challenging environments. Strong coordination, networking, and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to inspire and influence diverse teams. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory, and familiarity with the local context in Iran is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required for this position, typically including a degree in international relations, humanitarian studies, social sciences, or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized training in humanitarian response or management may be advantageous.

Experience:
The position requires extensive experience in senior management roles, particularly within humanitarian organizations. Languages:

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Tehran, Iran, with a contract duration of 24 months. The role may involve approximately 20% travel.
