Job Overview:
The position of Technical Advisor for the development of the National Human Rights Program II involves providing specialized technical expertise to the 'Promoting Participation Pathways for Human Development – 3P4D' project team. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and community groups, to facilitate dialogue and promote human rights awareness. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Technical Advisor will be responsible for a range of duties including but not limited to: conducting assessments of current human rights practices and identifying gaps; developing training materials and conducting workshops for stakeholders; providing recommendations for policy improvements; collaborating with local and international partners to enhance the effectiveness of human rights initiatives; monitoring and evaluating the progress of the National Human Rights Program; preparing reports and documentation on findings and recommendations; and ensuring that all activities align with UNDP's strategic objectives and the principles of human rights. The advisor will also be expected to engage in continuous learning and adaptation of strategies based on feedback and changing circumstances in the human rights landscape.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in human rights, development, or a related field. A proven track record of working with governmental and non-governmental organizations on human rights issues is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with UNDP's operational procedures and frameworks will be an advantage. Educational Background:
A minimum of a Master's degree in human rights, international relations, social sciences, or a related field is required. Experience:

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the region may also be beneficial.
