Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Individual Contractor include but are not limited to:
Assisting in the preparation and management of procurement documents, including requests for proposals, invitations to bid, and contracts.
Evaluating bids and proposals submitted by suppliers and providing recommendations for contract awards.
Maintaining supplier databases and ensuring that all supplier information is up to date and accurate.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
Ensuring compliance with UNDP procurement policies and procedures throughout the procurement process.
Providing support in the negotiation of contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms for UNDP.
Monitoring contract performance and ensuring that suppliers meet their contractual obligations.
Preparing reports and documentation related to procurement activities for internal and external stakeholders.
Responding to inquiries and providing clarifications regarding procurement processes and requirements.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Individual Contractor position include:
A strong understanding of procurement processes and practices, particularly within the context of international organizations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate bids and make informed recommendations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
