The consultant will play a crucial role in enhancing the Asian Air Quality Management Program (AAQMaP) and will contribute to policy-making and investment decisions that promote a cleaner environment. Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Conducting comprehensive air quality modeling to assess current pollution levels and predict future scenarios.
Developing training materials and conducting workshops for local stakeholders to enhance their understanding of air quality management.
Collaborating with government agencies and local organizations to implement air quality improvement strategies.
Analyzing data and providing recommendations based on modeling outcomes to inform policy decisions.
Preparing detailed reports on findings and progress, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed.
Engaging with international experts and organizations to share best practices and lessons learned in air quality management.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented strategies and making necessary adjustments based on feedback and results.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in environmental science, air quality management, or a related field. A proven track record of conducting air quality modeling and experience in capacity building initiatives is essential. Experience: The position requires at least 5 years of professional experience in air quality management, environmental consulting, or a related field. Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communications and documentation will be conducted in this language.
