Job Overview: The coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Administrative Coordinator/Senior Administrative Coordinator position within the Statistics Department's Resource Management Division (STARM) is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the department's capacity development (CD) program. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Division Chief/Deputy Division Chief and will be responsible for a variety of administrative coordination and support functions. This role requires a highly motivated individual who is proactive, energetic, and innovative, with a strong understanding of the responsiveness needed to support STA's mandate. The work environment is dynamic, requiring operational flexibility to adapt to sudden and unpredictable business needs. The candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and initiative, as well as the ability to build collaborative relationships with other departments within the IMF, including the Finance Department (FIN) and Human Resources Department (HRD).
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Coordinator/Senior Administrative Coordinator include administering operational procedures for STA’s recruitment and onboarding/offboarding of long-term experts (LTXs) and contracting of short-term experts (STXs), ensuring compliance with Fund policies, and liaising with HRD and FIN to resolve any issues. The candidate will maintain tracking systems and databases related to operational and administrative activities, including those concerning CD management and personnel management. They will track document reviews, requests for information/comment, and compliance with routine procedures, enforcing associated deadlines and prioritizing work to ensure efficient resolution. The role also involves processing requests from shared mailboxes, maintaining highly confidential records, integrating various documents into unified formats, proofreading and editing documents, coordinating communications through the IMF intranet and internet, supporting the planning of conferences and workshops, disseminating administrative policies, assisting management in executing operational decisions, guiding technical support vendors, and training junior staff while reviewing their work.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of six years of relevant experience, with at least two years in a lead role. The selected candidate must demonstrate excellent drafting, administrative, and organizational skills, the ability to work well under pressure, manage short deadlines, and handle a complex workload. Independent judgment and discretion in managing sensitive information are essential, along with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is required, and familiarity with the IMF's administrative practices and procedures, including document management, is a plus. Knowledge of at least one additional Fund-working language would also be beneficial.

Additional Notes: This vacancy is for a 3-year Term appointment.
