Job Overview: The Programme Assistant – Field Coordinator position is crucial for the effective implementation of WFP’s programs in Egypt, particularly in the targeted governorates. The role involves supporting project management and general office operations, ensuring adherence to WFP’s policies and procedures. The job holder will be responsible for compiling data, preparing reports, and performing accurate data recording related to food assistance and cash distribution. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Assistant – Field Coordinator include:
Providing project management and general office support in line with established targets and WFP policies.
Compiling data and supporting the analysis and preparation of reports related to food assistance needs, resource utilization, and program performance.
Ensuring accurate and timely recording of data for food or cash distribution, verifying that correct amounts are delivered.
Validating documentation for distributions and cash transfers across various phases.
Collaborating with internal counterparts to support effective implementation and monitoring of project activities.
Participating in meetings and workshops with local stakeholders and representing WFP at events.
Monitoring the implementation of WFP activities in the field and proposing improvements as necessary.
Assisting in the design, planning, and monitoring of WFP projects in the target area.
Supporting communication with local partners, agencies, NGOs, and government institutions. 1

Overseeing reconciliation of cash redemption receipts and food commodity receipts. 1

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Programme Assistant – Field Coordinator position include:
Completion of secondary school education is mandatory.
A university degree in a relevant field is desirable.
Fluency in both Arabic and English, both written and oral, is required.
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in administrative work, field operations, and development programs is necessary.
Desirable experience includes acting as a facilitator between field and technical teams, contributing to development program implementation, and assisting with policy discussions.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a completed secondary school education as a minimum requirement. Additional Notes: The position is a Service Contract (SC) at Level 5, with a duration of 12 months, subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. The role is based in Aswan, Egypt, and involves fieldwork in targeted governorates.
