Job Overview: The intern will support the implementation and knowledge management of the Gender Equality Seal Programme under the supervision of the Gender Seal Programme Specialist. This role involves assisting in the launch of the Gender Equality Seal Certification programme, tracking interest and participation, and supporting knowledge dissemination through systematic assessment reports and monitoring databases. The intern will also monitor learning needs related to the Gender Equality Seal, contribute to training materials, and assist in organizing learning events. Additionally, the intern will help develop knowledge-sharing spaces and coordinate with UNDP’s Community of Practice (CoP) Community Managers to foster engagement and mentorship networks. The position offers valuable experience in gender equality programming, corporate certification processes, AI applications for knowledge management, and community engagement within an international development context.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Gender Seal Implementation, Knowledge Management and Community-Building: Assist in launching the Gender Equality Seal Certification programme by tracking interest and participation. Support knowledge dissemination by systematizing assessment results and monitoring databases. Monitor learning needs related to the Gender Equality Seal and contribute to training materials. Organize and promote learning events and support the Gender Seal Team in promoting gender integration at UNDP country offices. Develop and maintain knowledge-sharing spaces on corporate platforms and support the organization of Community of Practice learning webinars. Coordinate with UNDP’s CoP Community Managers to foster engagement and strengthen mentorship networks.
Knowledge Mapping and Optimization: Map gender equality knowledge assets across corporate platforms, INGOs, and CSOs, categorizing them by topic and geographic relevance. Organize and optimize knowledge assets in SharePoint, Teams, and other platforms.
AI Piloting for Gender Seal Assessments: Support the launch of AI tools to enhance the Gender Equality Seal assessment process, assist in developing AI-driven approaches for data analysis, and collaborate with teams to explore AI applications in knowledge management.
Required Qualifications: Education: Enrolled or recently completed a Master’s programme in international development, gender studies, public administration, or a related field at the time of application. If pursuing studies in a country without a division between undergraduate and graduate stages, must have completed at least four years of full-time studies toward a degree. Experience: Professional experience in Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment is required. Proficiency in MS Office tools is required, while familiarity with Artificial Intelligence is desired.
