Job Overview:
The National Individual Consultant for the Development of the Results Dashboard is tasked with creating a comprehensive dashboard using Power BI or a results website. This role is crucial for visualizing and analyzing data related to the UNDP's projects and initiatives in Zambia. The consultant will be expected to gather requirements from stakeholders, design the dashboard layout, and ensure that it effectively communicates the necessary information. The assignment is set for a period of three months, during which the consultant will work closely with UNDP staff to ensure that the dashboard meets the organization's needs and standards. The consultant will also be responsible for training relevant personnel on how to use and maintain the dashboard effectively, ensuring sustainability beyond the contract period.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with UNDP staff to gather and analyze requirements for the dashboard.
  • Design and develop the Results Dashboard using Power BI or a suitable platform.
  • Ensure the dashboard is user-friendly and meets the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Conduct training sessions for UNDP staff on how to use and maintain the dashboard.
  • Provide ongoing support and updates to the dashboard as needed during the contract period.
  • Prepare documentation outlining the dashboard's functionalities and user guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with UNDP's data management and reporting standards.
  • Communicate regularly with the procurement unit regarding progress and any challenges encountered.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in developing dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with UNDP's mission and operations is a plus.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in data science, information technology, statistics, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an advantage. Additional certifications in data visualization or business intelligence tools will be beneficial.

Experience:
The consultant should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, dashboard development, or business intelligence. Experience in the development sector, particularly with UN agencies or similar organizations, is highly desirable. The candidate should demonstrate a strong portfolio of previous work in dashboard creation and data visualization.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communications and documentation will be in English. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Zambia would be an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
This position is a contract role for a duration of three months. The consultant will be expected to work full-time during this period. The position is open to both national and international candidates. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and benefits may include travel allowances if applicable.
