The incumbent will draft and edit statistical reports, including tables and graphs for analysis, and review data prior to processing to ensure accuracy. Additionally, the assistant will assist in producing tabulations for publications and ad hoc reports, utilizing statistical software to respond to data editing requests. Preparing statistical material for internal and international meetings is also a key function. The assistant will provide guidance to staff on statistical methods and systems, orienting and training other statistical support staff as needed. Furthermore, the incumbent will recommend improvements to operating procedures and systems used within the organization, and perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a secondary school education and have a minimum of four years of experience in statistical support work. Proficiency in English at a working knowledge level (level C) is mandatory. Candidates should also have very good knowledge of standard MS Office applications, internet usage, and office technology equipment. It is essential that candidates are nationals of Seychelles or possess an existing visa/work permit and reside within commuting distance of the duty station at the time of application.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position is a secondary school education. This foundational level of education is necessary to ensure that candidates have the basic skills and knowledge required for the statistical support work involved in this role.
