Job Overview:
The Programme Associate position at UN Women involves providing essential support to the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Programme team. This role is crucial for the development and implementation of effective programs that align with UN Women’s regulations. The Programme Associate will engage in various tasks, including research, financial management, and administrative support, ensuring that the programs run smoothly and effectively. The position requires close collaboration with both internal teams and external partners, focusing on enhancing financial reporting and capacity building for partners, particularly women-led organizations. The Programme Associate will also play a vital role in managing logistical arrangements for meetings and events, contributing to the overall success of the WPS initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Associate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: providing advanced administrative and logistical support for program formulation and management; preparing program budgets, spending forecasts, and work plans; offering technical guidance on program delivery and reporting; coordinating audits and implementing recommendations; developing standard operating procedures and guidelines; monitoring financial management of programs/projects; preparing periodic financial reports; overseeing logistical arrangements for meetings and events; and supporting resource mobilization efforts. Additionally, the Programme Associate will facilitate knowledge sharing and training for staff and partners, ensuring effective program management and financial practices are upheld.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in administration or program management/support, with at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in these fields. Proficiency in using multiple office software packages is essential, along with experience in supporting teams. Familiarity with modern web-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, particularly Oracle Cloud, is desirable. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex financial and administrative processes effectively.

Educational Background:
A minimum of secondary education is required for this position. A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in administration or program management/support. This experience should include working in a computer environment with various office software packages and supporting a team effectively. Experience with modern ERP systems is a plus, indicating a familiarity with contemporary financial and administrative processes.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Ukrainian is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of an additional official UN language, such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is desirable and would be considered an asset in the recruitment process.
