Job Overview: The position of Driver and Administrative Clerk is crucial for the ILO Country Office for Ukraine, particularly in the context of a new initiative aimed at supporting Ukraine's energy workforce. This role involves providing reliable and safe driving services while ensuring the highest standards of discretion and integrity. The Driver and Administrative Clerk will be responsible for arranging transportation for ILO officials and high-level delegations, assisting with protocol and customs clearances, and providing clerical and administrative support. The position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities, ensuring that all support needs are met efficiently. The project is set to commence in February 2026, and the successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating the smooth operation of the project team.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Driver and Administrative Clerk will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Providing safe and reliable driving services for ILO officials and authorized personnel.
Meeting officials and visitors at the airport and assisting with protocol, visa, and customs formalities.
Assisting in the procurement, shipment, and receipt of office supplies and equipment, including customs clearance.
Offering clerical support such as typing, translating, and making hotel reservations.
Assisting with IT-related tasks and maintaining inventory lists of IT equipment.
Processing requests for visas and identity cards in accordance with office requirements.
Planning routes based on security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security advisories and reporting any security incidents.
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and ensuring proper maintenance.
Keeping accurate records of vehicle use, mileage, and gas consumption. 1

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have a thorough understanding of driving rules and regulations. Skills in minor vehicle repairs are essential, along with certification in basic first aid and fire protection. Training in defensive driving is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety and reliability in driving practices, particularly in challenging conditions.
Educational Background: Completion of secondary school education is required for this position. Candidates should have a valid driver's license and knowledge of driving regulations. Additional certifications in first aid and defensive driving are advantageous.
Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant work experience is required, with a proven safe driving record. Experience driving for a UN agency, diplomatic, or international organization is preferred. Additionally, two years of general clerical work experience would be desirable, showcasing the candidate's ability to handle administrative tasks effectively.
Languages: Excellent knowledge of Ukrainian and English, both oral and written, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.

The entry-level salary for this role is set at 14,149 USD per year.
