Job Overview:
The ILO internship-programme" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Internship Programme offers talented individuals the chance to gain practical experience and deepen their understanding of international labor issues. Interns will be directly involved in the work of the ILO, applying its principles, programs, and strategies. This internship is designed for individuals who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in relevant fields such as social science, environmental policy, or international relations. The internship will last for six months, during which the intern will work closely with the Enterprise Development and Green Jobs Senior Specialist and participate in various projects, including the SDG Joint Fund Just Transition project with UNECE and UNDP. The intern will also engage with initiatives related to green jobs in collaboration with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Labour.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for supporting the Enterprise Development and Green Jobs Specialist in various tasks, including but not limited to: assisting in the compilation of economic, environmental, and labor market statistics; conducting research and quantitative analysis related to labor markets; participating in project meetings and discussions; contributing to the development of policy advice and tools; collaborating with team members on the Just Transition project; and assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations. The intern will also be expected to engage with stakeholders and contribute to the knowledge hub on Just Transition, ensuring that the ILO's objectives are met effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following qualifications: a strong academic background in social sciences, environmental policy, or employment-related fields; proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with statistical software such as Stata or SPSS; and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken formats. Additionally, candidates should exhibit a willingness to learn, adapt to diverse environments, and work collaboratively within a multicultural team.

Educational Background:
Applicants should be in their final year of a Master's degree or have completed their studies within the last 12 months. Relevant fields of study include social sciences, environmental policy, employment-related degrees, or international relations. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of labor markets and the ILO's mission.

Experience:
While prior experience is not mandatory, candidates with relevant work or internship experience in economic, environmental, or labor market research will be at an advantage. Experience in quantitative analysis and familiarity with statistical tools will enhance a candidate's application. Languages:

Additional Notes:
This internship is a full-time position with a duration of six months.
