Job Overview: The Data ManagementAnalyst/Sr. Data Management Analyst (e-Learning Project Manager) position at the IMF is crucial for supporting the organization's online learning program, which aims to enhance the training provided to officials from member countries. This role involves managing the development of various online learning products, including online courses, microlearning videos, and blended learning formats. The selected candidate will work closely with different capacity development departments to ensure that the training materials are of high quality and delivered on time and within budget. The position requires a strong understanding of online course development processes and the ability to coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to achieve the program's objectives. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing quality assurance processes and developing data visualizations to support the curriculum delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities: The main duties and responsibilities of the Data Management Analyst/Sr. Data Management Analyst include:
Creating and managing project plans and budgets to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of high-quality online products.
Coordinating activities with external vendors involved in the development of online learning products.
Contributing to the buildout of courses using Articulate 360 and hosting them on the edX platform and other learning management systems.
Developing and implementing quality assurance processes to ensure all products meet program standards.
Creating data visualizations using PowerBI to support program needs.
Supporting the ongoing delivery of the online program curriculum, incorporating lessons learned and evaluation data.
Assisting with communications and marketing efforts related to the online program.
Collaborating with team members to contribute to the overall work program of the team and division.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent in programming/systems, computer science, statistics, finance, mathematics, economics, or a related field. Additionally, candidates should have in-depth knowledge of online course development and delivery processes, experience with various Learning Management Systems (LMS), and strong project management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects effectively. Candidates should also demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment. Experience with edX, Cvent, or other survey tools, proficiency in French or Arabic, and familiarity with multimedia authoring tools and software are highly desirable.
Educational Background: A university degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as programming/systems, computer science, statistics, finance, mathematics, economics, or a related area is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the complexities of online learning and data management.
Experience: Candidates should have significant experience in online course development and delivery, as well as a proven track record of managing projects effectively. Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools is essential. Familiarity with multimedia authoring tools and software, such as the Adobe Creative Suite, is also beneficial. The role requires the ability to manage cross-functional teams and develop effective working relationships with subject matter experts.
Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, proficiency in French or Arabic is highly desirable, as it can enhance communication and collaboration with a broader range of stakeholders involved in the IMF's training programs.
Additional Notes: This position is a one-year contractual appointment, with the possibility of renewal for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, depending on performance, budget availability, and ongoing business needs. Only candidates currently residing in the Washington DC metro area will be considered for this role.
