Job Overview:
The Adolescents and Youth Programme Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the design, planning, and management of UNFPA's country program. This position involves managing data inputs, providing logistical support, monitoring program implementation, and coordinating with national and international organizations focused on adolescents and youth programs in both humanitarian and development contexts. The assistant will work closely with youth organizations and networks to facilitate the active participation of young people in achieving UNFPA's transformative results in Palestine. The role requires the application of established systems and procedures to assist in creating substantive knowledge related to adolescents and youth, sexual and reproductive health, and gender issues. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Adolescents and Youth Programme Assistant include coordinating project implementation by establishing collaborative relationships with executing and implementing agencies, providing technical and operational support, and participating in various meetings and reviews. The assistant will identify technical assistance needs, organize technical missions, and ensure quality management of UNFPA-funded projects. Responsibilities also include tracking program activities, monitoring and evaluating progress, analyzing results, and recommending corrective actions. The assistant will manage financial resources, document findings and lessons learned, and support the creation of advocacy materials. Additionally, the assistant will help maintain UNFPA's leadership role in Youth Peace and Security, coordinate activities related to UN Resolution 2250, and assist in managing the national Youth Advisory Panel. The role requires organizing training sessions and promoting youth participation in decision-making processes.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a minimum of completed secondary level education, with a first-level university degree in business or public administration or social sciences being advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates should possess proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems. Desired skills include the ability to produce fact sheets, experience in reporting and monitoring, and familiarity with emergency contexts and UN operations. The role demands strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary level education, with a first-level university degree in business or public administration or social sciences being preferred. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of program management and implementation in the context of UNFPA's mission and objectives.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience with a secondary education or two years of experience with a bachelor's degree. This experience should ideally include work in program management, monitoring and evaluation, and engagement with youth and community organizations, particularly in humanitarian or development settings.

Languages:
Fluency in both Arabic and English, in oral and written forms, is required for this position. This bilingual proficiency is essential for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and for the successful implementation of programs targeting youth and adolescents.
