Job Overview:
The Grants Manager plays a crucial role within the coordination-team" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">coordination team, ensuring accountability to donors and effective management of grants throughout the project cycle. This position requires close collaboration with program and support teams at both the coordination and field levels. The Grants Manager is responsible for strategic contributions to the mission's development, proactively identifying funding opportunities, and overseeing the submission of high-quality proposals and reports. Compliance with donor procedures is essential, and the Grants Manager will also focus on building staff capacity regarding donor compliance and accountability, while maintaining rigorous follow-up on contractual obligations from the initiation of contracts to their closure. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and adherence to various donor guidelines and deadlines, as well as the ability to align various teams and stakeholders to ensure consistency in proposal development and manage diverse inputs to create cohesive and accurate project documents. In the initial months, the Grants Manager will prioritize supporting the mission in developing proposals and responding to donor feedback, while also structuring the Grant Department of the PSE mission with the support of the Program Coordinator and director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grants Manager's duties and responsibilities include ensuring accountability to donors, managing grants effectively throughout the project cycle, collaborating with program and support teams, identifying funding opportunities, overseeing proposal and report submissions, ensuring compliance with donor procedures, building staff capacity on donor compliance, maintaining follow-up on contractual obligations, and supporting the development of various proposals and responses to donor feedback. The role also involves structuring the Grant Department and aligning teams and stakeholders to create cohesive project documents. Additionally, the Grants Manager must monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of grant management processes and ensure that all reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high diploma in political science, humanitarian action, development, international relations, or law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with at least 3-4 years in a similar position. Technical skills include excellent writing abilities for proposals and reports, a strong understanding of donor rules and regulations, and the ability to build relationships and represent SI effectively. Transversal skills such as strong oral and written communication, diplomacy, and the ability to work in a multicultural context are also essential.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have a high diploma in political science, humanitarian action, development, international relations, or international law. This educational background is preferred to ensure a solid understanding of the complexities involved in humanitarian work and grant management.

Experience:
The position requires at least 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a similar duration of experience in a grants management role. This level of experience is necessary to navigate the complexities of donor relations and grant compliance effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic is considered a strong asset, enhancing communication with local stakeholders and beneficiaries.

  • The salary is based on experience, starting from EUR 2310 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly per diem of USD 750 is provided, along with coverage for accommodation costs and travel expenses. The organization implements a system of breaks during the assignment, allowing for time off every three months, with an additional rest day granted for each month worked. Expatriates benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses, including medical, surgical, dental, and repatriation costs. Living conditions in Jerusalem are generally safe, with staff able to move freely throughout most areas, although caution is advised in certain neighborhoods.
