The internship is unpaid, and interns will be expected to contribute to various projects within the treatment, care, and rehabilitation team. The role involves supporting the team with daily responsibilities, which will vary based on the intern's background and the specific internship period. Interns will report directly to the Programme Officer and will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful work that contributes to the UNODC's mission.
Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be involved in a variety of tasks that support the objectives of the PTRS. Responsibilities include: - Assisting in drafting and preparing official documents related to drug treatment and rehabilitation; - Contributing to the creation of reports, presentations, and public relations materials, including web and social media content; - Researching and applying innovative digital tools, including artificial intelligence, to enhance drug treatment and rehabilitation efforts; - Conducting research on the current drug use situation and compiling scientific evidence related to substance use treatment and care programs; - Assisting in the organization and preparation of technical assistance, workshops, meetings, high-level events, and conferences; - Attending conferences and meetings, summarizing discussions, and providing support during these events.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet specific criteria: - Enrollment in or recent completion of a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent) or the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
