Job Overview: The role of Malaria & NTD Vector Control and Prevention Lead is crucial in supporting the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) countries in their commitment to eliminate malaria and tackle dengue and other neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). The successful candidate will oversee CHAI's vector control and prevention initiatives, dedicating approximately 60% of their time to malaria and 40% to dengue. The candidate will lead complex projects, requiring excellent communication skills, patience, and cultural sensitivity, while managing relationships with senior-level partners and multiple teams within CHAI. Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Malaria & NTD Vector Control and Prevention Lead include serving as a trusted technical adviser to national programs on vector control and entomology, providing operational support for vector control interventions, and exploring new tools for malaria elimination and dengue prevention. The candidate will support national programs in translating research into practical operations, develop regulatory frameworks for innovative vector control tools, and assist in creating operational plans and training materials. They will work closely with analytics teams to implement operational research and support evidence-based decision-making by analyzing and interpreting data. Additionally, the candidate will disseminate findings through presentations and reports, build relationships with stakeholders, identify funding gaps, and coordinate with regional managers on programmatic aspects. Experience: The ideal candidate should have proven experience in public health, particularly in international health, health policy, and management.
