Job Overview: The Junior IT Solution & security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Architect position is integral to the Financial Information Systems (FIS) Unit within the Directorate Central Route Charges Office and Finance at EUROCONTROL. This role involves contributing to the design, implementation, and support of IT solutions that facilitate the work of development teams. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of the Senior IT Solution and Security Architect, collaborating with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the architecture and design of IT solutions meet business requirements. The role emphasizes the delivery of secure, high-quality services that align with the operational needs of the organization. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that IT solutions adhere to security standards and best practices, conducting regular security inspections, and maintaining technical documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Junior IT Solution & Security Architect include:
Contributing to the design and maintenance of IT solutions architecture, ensuring smooth operation of business processes while optimizing performance and security.
Ensuring compliance of IT solutions with security standards and reporting any discrepancies or vulnerabilities.
Conducting regular security testing and inspections, including dynamic testing and code analysis.
Configuring and managing development tools and quality control platforms.
Identifying opportunities to enhance developer productivity and software delivery efficiency.
Participating in incident and problem management processes, proposing architectural and procedural changes to prevent future issues.
Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including standards and processes.
Staying updated on technological developments and sharing knowledge within the organization.
Performing any other tasks aligned with the job's main purpose.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed university studies of at least four years in a relevant domain such as Engineering or IT. Additionally, a minimum of two years of relevant working experience is required. Candidates should have experience in designing IT applications, including a solid understanding of database and middleware layers, and be proficient in documenting architecture and design models, preferably using UML. Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, application server platforms, Java development, and container technologies is essential. Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting is an asset, as is knowledge in application performance analysis and security.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a completed university degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering or Information Technology, with a minimum of four years of study. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of IT solutions and security architecture.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant working experience in IT application design, particularly down to the database and middleware layers. Candidates should have a proven track record in documenting architecture and design models and should be familiar with various technologies and methodologies relevant to the role.
Languages: Proficiency in English at level C1 is mandatory for this position, as it is one of the working languages of the Agency. Additionally, candidates must become a basic user of French at level A1 before the end of the probation period. A higher level of proficiency in French would be considered an asset, enhancing communication within the multicultural environment of EUROCONTROL.
Additional Notes: The contract for this position is initially for a duration of three years, with the possibility of extension or conversion into a permanent contract. The selected candidate will undergo a probationary period of nine months. The position is classified at job level 13-15, and candidates will be engaged at the basic grade of the advertised grades.
