Job Overview:
The position involves the recruitment of an individual contractor (IC) for the modeling of the PUDC (Programme d'Urgence de Développement Communautaire) in Senegal. The contractor will be responsible for establishing a model to analyze the results and impacts of the PUDC on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This role is crucial as it aims to provide insights and data that will help in assessing the effectiveness of the PUDC initiatives in contributing to the SDGs. The contractor will work closely with the UNDP team and stakeholders to ensure that the model is robust and meets the necessary requirements for analysis. The expected duration of the mission is two months, during which the contractor will need to deliver comprehensive reports and presentations on their findings.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive analytical model to evaluate the results and impacts of the PUDC on the SDGs.
  • Collaborate with UNDP staff and relevant stakeholders to gather necessary data and insights for the modeling process.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to support the development of the model.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing the findings and recommendations based on the model outputs.
  • Ensure that the model aligns with UNDP's standards and methodologies for impact assessment.
  • Provide ongoing support and clarification to UNDP staff regarding the model and its applications.
  • Submit all deliverables through the UNDP Quantum supplier portal by the specified deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in developing analytical models, particularly in the context of development programs and impact assessments.
  • Strong understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals and their relevance to community development initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications or training in data analysis or project management would be advantageous.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in development program evaluation, data analysis, or related fields is required. Experience working with UN agencies or similar organizations is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as the position requires communication and documentation in French. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may be necessary for collaboration with international stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is for a fixed-term contract lasting two months. It is a full-time role, and the contractor will be expected to work closely with the UNDP team in Senegal. The recruitment is open to both national and international candidates. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and in line with UNDP's remuneration policies.
