Duties and Responsibilities: As an intern, you will be assigned fixed tasks but must also be adaptable to take on various assignments as needed. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development and publishing of communications material across social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook. You will assist in keeping the websites undp.se and globalamålen.se updated, help plan and conduct public events like conferences and seminars, translate news articles and other texts between Swedish and English, prepare briefing materials for seminars and meetings, and provide administrative support. The role requires excellent communication skills, a strong interest in global development, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
Required Qualifications: Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English is mandatory. Candidates must meet one of the following eligibility criteria: be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program (such as a master's program or higher), be in the final academic year of a first university degree program (such as a bachelor's degree), have recently graduated with a university degree, or be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program that includes the internship as part of the curriculum. Strong communication skills, knowledge of global development, and familiarity with social media and web publication tools are also required.
Educational Background: Candidates must be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program or in the final year of a bachelor's degree program. Recent graduates are also eligible if they can start the internship within one year of graduation. Enrollment in a postgraduate professional traineeship program that includes the internship is also acceptable.
Experience: The internship is designed for individuals who may not have extensive professional experience but possess a strong interest in global development and the workings of international organizations. Previous experience in communications, event planning, or administrative support is advantageous but not mandatory.
