The incumbent will support the implementation of the Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) for 2022-2026 and the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for the same period. This role involves developing and executing national and regional communication plans that align with ILO strategies, ensuring effective delivery of communication products and services. The position requires collaboration with government and social partners, focusing on priority areas such as decent work during economic transformation, social protection, and governance. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the National Officer include:
Developing and delivering high-quality communication products and services across various multimedia platforms.
Drafting national communication plans aligned with strategic priorities.
Identifying communication needs and advising on appropriate approaches.
Ensuring visibility for ILO projects in accordance with branding guidelines.
Conducting media reviews and disseminating relevant information.
Creating and managing content for social media channels.
Monitoring and evaluating communication activities using metrics.
Providing guidance on internal communications and representing the unit in interagency meetings. 1
Promoting gender equality and non-discrimination in all project aspects. 1
Performing other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in communications, journalism, international relations, or library/information science.
